‘Tis the season of giving. This week we celebrate giving back. After the long weekend of deals and rushing to the stores to be first in line, there is a global holiday dedicated to selflessness. Giving Tuesday, the day after Cyber Monday, is a holiday to show your generosity. December 1, 2015 marks four years of this admirable day to kick off the giving season.
We should look at this day as the first day of giving back all year. Don’t limit your giving to a day, a week or a month. While donating to your favorite charity is wonderful, you do not always have to break the bank. Volunteer at your local non-profit organizations, donate your old winter coats or offer to shovel for the elderly couple next door. Your time can be of much greater value, than any amount of money.
Look into giving back to your local community progams also. There are many ways to give, so get out there and make a different.
