National Aviation Day 2017
National Aviation Day is this Saturday, August 19th. This day was created in 1939 to celebrate the history and development of Aviation. It coincides with the birthday of Orville Wright who, together with his brother Wilbur, made significant contributions to powered flight.
As the Bemidji areas largest based engineering, architectural and surveying firm specializing in aviation, recreation, municipal, transportation, and energy products, we have done extensive work with Bemidji, Bagley, Fosston, Northome and Waskish airports, and recognize the positive impact they make to each of the surrounding communities.
The aviation industry is an important contributor to each communities economic vitality. It provides local jobs, generates revenue, encourages tourism, and attracts businesses to our area. According to the financial report in 2015, the Bemidji Regional Airport alone accounted for an economic impact of more than $41 Million and provided nearly 800 jobs countywide.
