The City of Bemidji and ISD #31 along with Karvakko and Reierson Construction Inc. will begin construction on Phase 1 of the Division Street Utility Extension Project. The project will begin on Tuesday June 6th, 2017.
Phase 1 – Division Street between Adams Avenue & US HWY 2
Phase 2 – Adams Avenue (North of Division Street)
Phase 3 – Division Street between Adams Avenue & Becida Road.
Phase 1 of the project is scheduled to be completed by July 14th, 2017 depending on weather conditions.
This project will involve the removal and replacement of bituminous pavement, aggregate material, concrete curb & gutter, and turf establishment. During construction of Phase 1, Division Street, between Adams Avenue and US HWY 2, will be closed and traffic will be detoured (see the attached exhibit drawing for detour routes).
Phases 2 & 3 will incur minor traffic delays, but should allow two way vehicular traffic during construction. Project completion, including Phases 1-3, is scheduled for September 22nd, 2017.
Residents should be able to access their driveways during most of the construction, although there will be short time periods where this will not be possible. The project inspectors and the contractor will try to insure that driveways are accessible in the morning and by the end of the day and will be in contact with the residents impacted by these issues. If you have any issues or problems getting into your driveway please do not hesitate to call one of the project inspectors/foreman listed below.
