Job Title:

Civil Engineer

Hometown:

Bemidji, MN

Education:

Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of North Dakota

When did you start at KE:

May 2013

What do you enjoy most about working at KE:

I really enjoy the opportunity to grow professionally at a very rapid pace. Being in a small firm, more is asked of each individual than that of a large firm and I really enjoy that. I have grown as a professional in areas I never thought I would have thanks to the competitive industry and the rock solid support staff I have around me.

What is your greatest accomplishment:

My greatest accomplishment was getting my degree from UND. It was something I spent years working at and I put my whole heart into it. I knew that in order to get it, a half effort wouldn’t work, it had to be 110%. Walking across the stage at graduation was a powerful moment because it represented a lot more than a piece of paper, it represented passion and perseverance.

What is your favorite season and why:

Fall is definitely my favorite season. I am a die-hard hunter and I live for those crisp November mornings in the whitetail woods.

Who’s been an inspiration in your life:

Keith Kinnen taught me how to iron shirts and slacks... so my vote definitely goes to our #1 Landscape Architect.

Are you a member of any organizations:

I am a member of the Young Professionals Network (YPN).

Karvakko Engineering and RRA have officially merged into one firm--Karvakko. We’re more than just engineering.
